As part of the programme for implementing GFCS at the national and regional scale, the forum aims to link climate information being generated by Kiribati Meteorological Service with stakeholder institutions and users of climate information, and their decision-making processes to improve application of climate information, particularly the seasonal climate outlooks. The overall program includes: Sharing of information with participants and to help them to improve understanding on the climate sciences, climate variability, climate change and climate services as well as existing and possible climate information; Identifying weather and climate information participants require for their planning and decision making processes; Discussing way forward to develop weather and climate information to meet participants needs and decision making processes; and Develop communication, monitoring, verification system for exchange of weather and climate information between Kiribati Meteorological Service and participants.
