Project tabsOverviewClimate prediction and adaptation requires scientifically sound weather and climate information and capacities to develop and use such information for decision making at national level. The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) funded projects intends to enhance the capacity of countries in Eastern Africa, which are members of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Climate Prediction Applications Center (ICPAC). Climate Prediction Analysis Systems will be set up as part of this project in Rwanda, Uganda, Djibouti and Burundi, as initial pilot countries. The project in Rwanda is being implemented with Rwanda Meteorological Agency (RMA). The projects in Uganda and Djibouti are being implemented with ICPAC and in collaboration with the National Meteorological Services from both countries.
