The Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS) has teamed up with the Climate Services Partnership (CSP) to organize the Sixth International Conference on Climate Services (ICCS-6).

The Conference will take place the 11-13 February 2020 at the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) in Pune, India. Financial support for the conference is being provided by India's Ministry of Earth Sciences, UK Department for International Development, and the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS). 

The International Organizing Committee is comprised of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), GFCS, CSP, World Health Organization, World Food Programme, World Bank, UK Met Office, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), IITM, International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), and International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT).  The Conference theme is "advancing the knowledge and practice of climate services for climate resilience".  

Please find additional information about the Conference on the conference website. The call for abstracts and registration is currently open and accessible on the Conference website. Abstracts for poster and oral presentations, as well as session proposals are due next week, 25 November (however, we will likely extend the deadline to Dec 2). Please consider submitting an abstract and joining us at the event.

Please note, due to India's visa policy a conference attendance list with biodata forms is due to the national authorities by early December. If there is a possibility that you will join us, please complete the online survey; to enable IITM to initiate the necessary clearances required for the visa application. Kindly note that completing the form does not guarantee acceptance of the abstract submission or receipt of a visa.
