Event TabsSummaryDates: Tuesday, August 12, 2014 to Wednesday, August 13, 2014Location: Roseau Dominica DM Type: WorkshopThe Ministry of Health of Dominica in collaboration with the Department of Meteorological Services of Dominica and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) have organized a National Consultation to: discuss the benefits of the GFCS in various sectors; identify needs for climate information in decision making; and mainstream climate change adaptation in the four initial priority sectors of the GFCS (health, agriculture and food security, water and disaster risk reduction). The consultation took place in Roseau on 12-13 August and brought together key stakeholders from the National Meteorological Service and key decision makers from various sectors, who, based on the gaps and needs identified, will discuss how Dominica could implement the requirements of the framework and develop a plan for implementation.
